What's New for Subaru in 2020?

Subaru decided that 2020 was the year for minor and major upgrades on their vehicles along with a burst of new options. All Subaru models are built to provide extra comfort with unique redesigned interiors. Depending on which model you choose, the six-way or 10-way adjustable driver seat includes new power passenger seats with height adjustment, automatic voice climate control and a new large 11.6 inch Starlink Multimedia touchscreen that can be customized with the touch of a button with your favorite apps.

New advanced systems include a system that helps keep you alert and focused, delivering visual, and voice alerts called the DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. You can program up to five drivers in the system, and it will remember each driver's seat position, climate settings and outside mirror position. As a way to stabilizes your ride in all weather conditions, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard on all 2020 Subaru models. And to enhance your safety there is the new 180-Degree Front View Monitor along with the Rear-Vision Camera.

Subaru improved the direct-injection Subaru Boxer engine by upping the horsepower to 182; to improve fuel economy they added Auto Start-Stop technology. Some models come with a turbocharged Subaru Boxer engine with 260 horsepower that delivers 277 pound-feet of torque. Many 2020 Subaru models also feature the new Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering to help ease some of the stress when steering, braking, and throttle control. Other available new options include:

  • Rollover sensor
  • X-MODE to maximize traction
  • High Beam Assist that switches high- and low-beams automatically when oncoming cars approach
  • New exterior and interior colors, upholstery, and trims.
